How to Swarm and Why

The worst thing you can hear as a manager is “we’re behind schedule” from your boss and “we’re bored” from your team.

There’s a whole lot of schedule tetris you can play, but it’s far easier if your default option is to teach your team to swarm.

It’s been awhile since we did a post — a lot of work has gone into a secret project that is going smoothly. But suffice to say, my writing energies have been going elsewhere.

This blog is also an experiment in using AI to assist writing. The workflow I used was:
1. Wake up in a panic at 4:30 AM, as is the tradition amongst my people.
2. Can’t sleep. Start giving pretend speeches in my head.
3. Realize I could give a real speech to Otter.ai and have it transcribe it.
4. Talk about swarming.
5. Try a workflow of turning that transcription into a blog post.
